Welcome to Africa Opportunity Index ("AOI", "we", "our", "us", or the "Platform"). These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Africa Opportunity Index website, publications, rankings, reports, newsletters, databases, research materials, opportunity listings, events, member services, and all related content and services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately.

1. Purpose of the Platform

Africa Opportunity Index is an independent publication and research platform that provides information relating to:

• Employment opportunities

Nothing published on the Platform shall constitute an offer to sell securities, an invitation to invest, a solicitation of investors, a recommendation to invest, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. Any investment decision made by a user is solely their responsibility.

4. Opportunity Listings Disclaimer

The Platform may publish information relating to grants, funding opportunities, startup programs, accelerators, venture capital firms, angel investors, competitions, scholarships, fellowships, jobs and procurement opportunities. AOI does not guarantee funding, selection, acceptance, success, eligibility or commercial outcomes. Users participate entirely at their own risk.

5. Author Opinions and Independent Contributions

Articles, reports, commentaries, rankings, analyses, reviews, interviews, and publications may be prepared by independent authors, contributors, researchers, guest writers, sponsors, advertisers, partners, or third parties. Views expressed belong solely to the respective authors and do not necessarily represent the views of Africa Opportunity Index. AOI assumes no responsibility for opinions expressed by contributors.

6. Research, Reports and Rankings Disclaimer

The Platform may publish rankings, opportunity indexes, market assessments, startup reviews, country profiles, sector reports, industry forecasts and business intelligence reports. Such publications are based on available information, methodologies, assumptions, estimates, public sources, third-party submissions, and editorial judgment. AOI makes no warranty regarding accuracy, completeness, future performance, reliability or suitability. Users should not rely solely on such publications when making decisions.

7. No Guarantee of Results

We do not guarantee business success, investment returns, funding outcomes, revenue growth, job placement, commercial opportunities, partnerships or economic benefits. Past performance does not indicate future results.

8. User Submissions

Users may submit articles, reports, company profiles, startup information, event information, comments, reviews and multimedia content. You represent and warrant that you own the submitted content or possess necessary permissions; that the information is truthful to the best of your knowledge; and that the content does not violate any law or third-party rights.

9. License to User Content

By submitting content, users grant AOI a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, archive, distribute, and display such content in any media format.

10. Content Moderation

AOI reserves the right, without notice, to remove content, edit submissions, refuse publication, suspend accounts or restrict access where content is deemed unlawful, misleading, defamatory, fraudulent, abusive, harmful, or inconsistent with Platform standards.

11. Intellectual Property

All Platform content, branding, trademarks, databases, graphics, reports, rankings, methodologies, and website materials remain the property of Africa Opportunity Index or its licensors unless otherwise stated. Unauthorized reproduction, redistribution, scraping, resale, republication, or commercial exploitation is prohibited.

12. Third-Party Links

The Platform may contain references or links to third-party organizations. AOI does not endorse, verify, or assume responsibility for third-party websites, products, services, investment opportunities, organizations or individuals. Users engage with third parties entirely at their own risk.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Africa Opportunity Index, its founders, directors, officers, employees, contractors, contributors, partners, sponsors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers shall not be liable for investment losses, business losses, lost profits, lost opportunities, commercial damages, indirect damages, consequential damages, reliance on published information, or decisions based on rankings, reports, indexes, articles, or opinions. Use of the Platform is entirely at the user's own risk.

14. Indemnification

You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Africa Opportunity Index, its founders, directors, employees, contributors, contractors, affiliates, partners, sponsors, and licensors from and against any and all claims, actions, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, penalties, judgments, and legal fees arising from your use of the Platform; your reliance on Platform content; your investment decisions; your business decisions; your submitted content; violation of these Terms; or violation of any law or third-party rights. This indemnity shall survive termination of your use of the Platform.

15. No Warranties

The Platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. AOI expressly disclaims all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability and availability.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Africa Opportunity Index is operated. Any disputes shall first be submitted to good-faith negotiations before formal legal proceedings.

17. Changes to Terms

AOI may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
